Don’t count Philadelphia Eagles second-year cornerback Avonte Maddox in that theory that this team has gotten complacent following their lone Super Bowl victory. You see, Maddox arrived a few months after that.
Philly took ’29’ in 2018’s NFL Draft during the fourth round, 125th overall, and though he was present when Philly unveiled the banner, he has no ring of his own. You can tell by the way he plays that he’s fully intent on earning one.
Unfortunately, for the Eagles and their fans, he hasn’t been on the field since Philly’s surprising victory versus the Green Bay Packers, their only loss of the season.
