Every year around this time, Forbes releases a list of the top 50 most valuable sports teams. The Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles made the cut once again.
According to Forbes, the Eagles are currently worth $2.65 billion. That’s a 6% increase from last year’s value at $2.5 billion.
It goes without saying that the Eagles are worth a lot more now than they were when Jeffrey Lurie originally purchased the franchise in 1994 for $185 million.
The Eagles’ current valuation makes them the 22nd most valuable sports franchise in the world.
