Philadelphia Eagles chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie releases a statement

In the wake of everything that’s going on with the COVID-19 issue, the NBA season has been suspended. The NCAA has canceled its tournaments, both at a conference and at a national level, but the news doesn’t stop there. Now, the NFL seems to be paying closer attention as Philadelphia Eagles chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie released a statement on Thursday.

According to Lurie, the Eagles are closing the NovaCare Complex and Lincoln Financial Field until further notice. Employees are being encouraged to work from home as it’s safe to assume that the other 31 NFL franchises will follow suit in the very near future.
