Fletcher Cox returned to practice for the first time under new coach Doug Pederson on Tuesday, although the star defensive tackle spent much of the session as an observer.
Pederson limited Cox's workload on the first day of mandatory minicamp after Cox missed two months of voluntary workouts and practices. The coach said that did not come at the directive of Cox's agent or the player while they are in negotiations with the team on a new contract.
"He's coming back and we want him to be in the meetings, we want him to go through the walk-throughs, and we want him to get as many mental reps this week as [he] can," Pederson said.
