Orlando Scandrick waited for Philadelphia Eagles to call

Back in August, the Philadelphia Eagles were trying to figure out who was worthy of cracking the final 53-man roster. For that, the last game of the preseason mattered a lot. Typically, if veteran players are inactive for the week four preseason matchup, it means they made the team.

Veteran cornerback Orlando Scandrick fell under that category of being a healthy veteran, who was inactive. However, his situation didn’t have the outcome you would typically expect. For the first time in his career, Scandrick wasn’t on an opening day roster.

The Eagles ended up releasing Scandrick during their final cuts.
