Obvious: Eagles are not picking up Jahan Dotson’s fifth-year option

The Philadelphia Eagles are very predictably not picking up Jahan Dotson’s fifth-year option for the 2026 NFL season, according to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

This development comes as no surprise since the Eagles were never going to fully guarantee a $16.8 million salary for a No. 3 wide receiver who had 269 yards and one touchdown in 21 games played last season.

Dotson will instead play out 2025 as the last year of his rookie contract. He’s currently set to be a free agent in March 2026.
