Mukuba was injured on one of the last plays of the game when tackling Cowboys receiver George Pickens from behind after his long reception and run. After the game, the rookie was seen in a walking boot and crutches. NFL insider Ian Rapoport shared that Mukuba would undergo surgery on his fractured ankle, with no word on whether it would end his season.
