Everyone is going to have their thoughts on how Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni decided to rest starters against the Washington Commanders in Week 18; some had to play, and others decided they wanted to go for it.
Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith was among those asked if he wanted to play, and he said yes as he gunned for 1,000 yards for the season. There were also key defensive linemen like Jordan Davis and Moro Ojomo who had to play with Jalen Carter inactive.
Sirianni was asked about letting Smith play after the 24-17 loss to the Commanders, and he said he would be careful with Smitty and the defensive linemen to protect them from injury as best he could.
