NFL's final verdict on Jalen Carter's spitting incident will relieve Eagles fans

Philadelphia Eagles fans can feel somewhat better about their upcoming Week 2 showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs, as they will have their top defensive player for the game.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter will not be facing a suspension for his ejection in the 24-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday. Carter was kicked out of the game as he spat at Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott one play into the game.

“After talking to the Eagles, the NFL and the NFLPA, Jalen has decided not to appeal and focus on the Chiefs game,” Carter’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said in a statement.
