Matthews ailing but should be ready for Seattle game

Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews missed practice Wednesday because of back spasms, but coach Doug Pederson said Matthews "should be good" for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Matthews has not missed a regular season game in his career and was not available to speak to reporters on Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday, Pederson said that the NFL agreed with the Eagles that there should have been a penalty flag on the helmet-to-helmet hit Matthews took in Sunday's win over Atlanta. The hit left a dent in Matthews' helmet and bent his facemask.

Left guard Allen Barbre will remain the starter for the Eagles when he returns from injury, which appears likely to be Sunday against the Seahawks.
