Malcolm Jenkins agreed to terms on a new five-year deal Monday with the Eagles that will keep the Pro Bowl safety under contract through 2020.
Terms of the contract were not yet known.
Jenkins, 28, was entering the final year of his contract. The new deal rips up the final year, which had a salary-cap hit of $7.167 million, and gives him four additional years after 2016. It is the fifth new contract the Eagles have given out this offseason.
After signing with the Eagles in 2014, Jenkins became a valued member of the defense and a respected voice in the locker room whose play during the past two seasons merited a new deal.
