Making the case for Doug Pederson as Coach of The Year

When the Philadelphia Eagles hired Doug Pederson back in 2016, many fans were perplexed. Some were disappointed. Others just flat out didn’t know who he was. Fast forward to 2017, and Pederson has led the Eagles to a 12-2 record, and their first playoff appearance since 2013.

Last year, in Pederson’s first season as a head coach, expectations were low. With presumed starting quarterback at the time, Sam Bradford, being traded to the Minnesota Vikings, rookie Carson Wentz was thrown into the fire a week before the season.
