It may be time to come to the realization that Donnel Pumphrey‘s NFL dreams are just never going to be realized. The Philadelphia Eagles, in 2017’s NFL Draft, took a chance in the fourth round with the 132nd-overall selection in hopes that they had found a diamond in the rough. After all, he did close his collegiate career as the NCAA‘s all-time leader in rushing yards in Division I FBS history.
Unfortunately, nothing we saw from Pumphrey at the collegiate level ever translated to what we saw from him in the NFL.
