Jordan Matthews is back in football, just this time he's on the sidelines (or maybe in the coach's booth).
After his release from the Panthers in May, Matthews appears to be hanging up his cleats and putting on the coach's headset, as the former Eagle will join Vanderbilt's coaching staff for the final portion of the college football season. Matthews returns to his alma mater as an Offensive Consultant, bringing 10 years of NFL playing experience to the Commodores.
Matthews' time in Philly helped shaped him for the coaching opportunity
Matthews was a 2014 second-round pick by the Eagles, spending three seasons with the team.
