Defensive tackle Fletcher Cox said on Wednesday that he expects to be at Training Camp when the veterans are scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, July 27.
Cox is in the final year of his rookie contract and hopes to get a long-term deal done with the team. The Eagles have been adamant the entire offseason that they want Cox to be a part of the team for the long haul. Cox missed the entire voluntary offseason workout program and only arrived in Philadelphia on Monday for the start of the mandatory minicamp.
Head coach Doug Pederson said on Tuesday that the Eagles are limiting Cox's workload during the minicamp, which Cox said was a "staff decision" but at the same time "a smart move by the coaching staff to ease him back in.
