Eagles waive another player to make room for UDFA signings

The Philadelphia Eagles waived wide receiver Johnny Holton, according to an official announcement from the team.

First the team cut Mercy Maston on Tuesday. And now Holton is gone, too?! Unacceptable. (Worst of all, I keep making these dumb jokes.)

Seriously, though, it’s a tough break for these waived players as the Eagles clear out roster space to make undrafted free agent signings. Philadelphia’s roster currently stands at 79 players, which is 11 shy of the 90-man offseason limit.

Holton originally signed a reserve/future contract with the Eagles back in mid-January.
