The Philadelphia Eagles issued their third and final official injury report on Friday in advance of their Week 8 game against the Detroit Lions.
Two players were ruled OUT: Miles Sanders and Zech McPhearson.
Sanders is headed to injured reserve and will thus miss the Eagles’ next three games (at least). Philadelphia will likely call up Jordan Howard from the practice squad to go along with Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott. The Lions have a better ground defense (tied for eight in opponent rushing yards per attempt) than air defense (32nd in opponent passing yards per attempt), so it’s not necessarily a week to Run The Ball at every turn.
