Eagles Trip Up And Fall In Fourth Quarter

ARLINGTON, Texas -- They fought and they scrapped and they had their chances to win on Sunday night at AT&T Stadium, but in the end the Eagles didn't close on the Dallas Cowboys, losing 29-23 in overtime. A 10-point lead in the fourth quarter evaporated when the game was right there for the Eagles to win.

Mistakes? Yes. The Eagles had some pointed moments that came back to haunt them.

  • Leading 23-13 and in firm control of the football game with 13:05 to go in the game, the Eagles took possession at their 41-yard line and, for the first time in the game, inserted running back Wendell Smallwood into the game.
