Eagles trim roster to 85 players with three waived/injured designations

As part of the NFL’s new roster cuts procedure, teams are required to trim down from the max limit of 90 players down to 85* today. The Eagles were at 88 after waiving Caleb Wilson and Adrian Killins so they only needed to make three moves. An overview:

  • RB Kerryon Johnson was waived/injured.
  • C Luke Juriga was waived/injured.
  • OT Casey Tucker was waived/injured.

For those who aren’t familiar with what “waived/injured” means, it has to do with how teams can’t simply cut injured players.
