Eagles sign OL Taylor Hart, a converted defensive lineman; Jason Peters goes on injured reserve

The Eagles signed offensive lineman Taylor Hart on Wednesday and placed Jason Peters on injured reserve.

Hart, 26, was a 2014 fifth-round draft pick as a defensive lineman and has been with the Eagles for most of the past four seasons. The Eagles converted him to offensive line during the offseason, and he impressed the team as a tackle during training camp and the preseason. He was cut when the Eagles reduced the roster from 90 to 53 before the season and Hart’s experience meant he didn’t have practice squad eligibility.

“All my grades on Taylor when he was here were very high,” offensive coordinator Frank Reich said Wednesday.
