According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Eagles have agreed to terms with Shane Steichen on a contract that will see him take over as the teams’ new offensive coordinator.
At 35-years-old, Steichen is one of the younger coaching minds in the NFL and has strong ties to new head coach Nick Sirianni. The two worked together between 2014-2017 as members of the Chargers.
In 2016, Steichen became the Chargers’ QB coach and held that spot through 2019 until promotion to offensive coordinator. In that four-year span, Phillip Rivers averaged a 64.
