Eagles send Eli Ricks, Antwaun Powell-Ryland packing (again) in latest moves

The part of the NFL business that is not often discussed is the number of times a player can be cut and signed during the regular season.

On Thursday, the Philadelphia Eagles showed that by releasing cornerback Eli Ricks and rookie draft pick edge rusher Antwaun Powell-Ryland. To replace both on the practice squad, the Eagles signed defensive tackle Jacob Sykes and defensive end K.J. Henry

Since the end of training camp, Ricks and Powell-Ryland have fallen victim to the NFL's trends, as both have been cut and signed by the Eagles multiple times. Neither player has yet been active in a game.
