Eagles' Sam Bradford shows he can take a hit

CHIP KELLY has a simple solution for how the Eagles can better assure that twice-injured quarterback Sam Bradford does not get hurt again.

"We could put him in a glass case," Kelly said at yesterday's media conference where the conversation centered on the controversial hit Bradford took from Baltimore Ravens defensive end Terrell Suggs in Saturday's preseason game.

Well, actually, encasing Bradford in glass is no guarantee because he could fall into the glass, shatter it and end up slicing a tendon in his throwing arm thus shelving him for a third consecutive season.

For the sake of this conversation, take out whether or not Suggs' hit to Bradford's knees was a cheap shot, as many Eagle fans believe, or within NFL rules as Dean Blandino, the league's vice president of officiating, said on the NFL Network.
