Eagles quickly bring Cre’Von LeBlanc back

The Philadelphia Eagles re-signed Cre’Von LeBlanc on Monday morning, according to an official announcement from the team.

Everyone can now breath a sigh of relief. Strap is back.

The Eagles cut LeBlanc on Sunday afternoon in order to make room for waiver claim Jason Huntley on the 53-man roster. The Eagles couldn’t simply open up a spot by immediately placing a player on injured reserve so they opted to use the LeBlanc loophole instead. As a vested veteran, LeBlanc was not subject to waivers, so the Eagles were able to just re-sign him after they put two players — Will Parks and Quez Watkins — on IR later on Sunday.
