Outside the pocket last season, Carson Wentz was one of the league’s best quarterbacks. Inside the pocket, he was below average. This is one of the reasons Pederson brought in Scangarello. The increased use of play-action/bootlegs will likely be the most significant scheme change with this offense. Getting Wentz on the move more — regardless of how they do it — is a smart idea.
