What a difference a year makes. A season ago, we were asking if Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson could get the job done. His defensive coordinator, Jim Schwartz was deflecting questions about their relationship in one conversation. In another, he’d deny what many an Eagles fan kept wondering. Would Schwartz, eventually, take over as the head man?
‘The General’ swiftly backhanded any notion that there was any tension in the coaching ranks. He advised the Philly media, at every opportunity, that his relationship with Coach Pederson was a strong one. Since then, the Eagles have added a Lombardi Trophy to the Novacare Complex.
