For Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Derek Barnett, his sophomore season ended after seven games. The remainder of 2018 was suppose to be dedicated to getting him back on the field in 2019, but none of that is important right now.
Tragedy struck the Barnett family on Tuesday when David, Derek’s older brother, died on in a car accident. Just like that, we were reminded that football is just a game.
Our heart goes out to a member of the Eagles family.
