The Philadelphia Sports Writers Association announced Wednesday that it has selected Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz as its Pro Athlete of the Year.
Wentz will be honored at the PSWA’s annual awards dinner, set for Monday, Jan. 15, at the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill. Tickets for the event can be purchased here. The organization hopes Wentz will be able to attend, but of course, that depends on the Eagles’ playoff schedule. There’s also the matter of his rehab after surgery to repair his torn ACL.
The PSWA previously announced a few other award winners.
