Eagles begin cut down to 80 players

As part of the NFL’s new roster cuts procedure, teams were required to trim down from 90 to 85 players last week. The next round of cuts is soon approaching with clubs needing to be maxed out at 80 players before 4:00 PM Eastern on Tuesday, August 24.

The Philadelphia Eagles are currently at 83 players after waiving wide receiver Jhamon Ausbon and cornerback Lavert Hill on Sunday evening.

Ausbon was an undrafted rookie free agent signing out of Texas A&M. He didn’t do a whole lot in camp and was clearly buried deep down the receiver depth.
