The Philadelphia Eagles will be heading into Week 1 with Jason Peters as their starting left tackle. Doug Pederson revealed as much during a Monday morning press conference with reporters.
The Eagles re-signed Peters to play right guard for them with Brandon Brooks suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in mid-June. But with projected starting left tackle Andre Dillard then suffering a season-ending injury of his own in training camp, the assumption was that Peters would be moving back outside.
There was a hitch in that assumption with Peters reportedly requesting more money to play left tackle.
