Darius Slay getting roasted shows Eagles made right call moving on

The Philadelphia Eagles looked like a team that was in dire need of a second outside cornerback in their season-opening win against the Dallas Cowboys, as Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb had a field day picking on starter Adoree Jackson. The decision to part ways with Darius Slay looked a bit questionable.

Slay joined the Pittsburgh Steelers with the thought that he could be the missing piece in a veteran-laden secondary, but his initial performance is making fans on the other side of Pennsylvania have some major buyer's remorse.

In the first quarter against the New York Jets, Slay gave up multiple catches to Garrett Wilson despite the fact that Justin Fields came into the game expecting to lean heavily on the ground game.
