Carson Wentz will officially return as Eagles starting quarterback for Week 3 Colts game

The Philadelphia Eagles’ franchise quarterback is set to return to the starting lineup for the team’s Week 3 game against the Indianapolis Colts. The team confirmed as much on Monday morning.

Sunday will mark Wentz’s first live game action since he tore his ACL/LCL against the Los Angeles Rams last season. He’s made incredible progress in his recovery to be cleared for contact just 9.5 months after first getting hurt in December 2017.

Wentz’s return to the field is certainly welcomed. That’s not a slight to reigning Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles, who performed adequately during Wentz’s absence.
