Welp, this sure puts an immediate halt to the Carson Wentz hype.
In his NFL debut against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Thursday, Wentz showed some serious potential as the Philadelphia Eagles‘ eventual franchise quarterback. Unfortunately, Wentz isn’t walking away from it unscathed. Originally, Doug Pederson described Wentz as having “sore” ribs. But as it turns out, Wentz actually suffered a hairline rib fracture and there is no timetable for his return.
Pederson spoke on the matter Saturday:
“Carson felt some discomfort and soreness as we began this morning’s practice. We decided to limit him throughout the remainder of practice and, as a precaution, sent him for a CT scan after practice.
