The warm afterglow of the Eagles’ 29-10 season-opening victory over the Browns faded at least a little when head coach Doug Pederson stepped to the NovaCare lectern Monday and announced that both tight and Zach Ertz and starting cornerback Leodis McKelvin are “week-to-week” with injuries suffered Sunday.
McKelvin, we already knew, had strained a hamstring; he left the game in the fourth quarter, replaced by Ron Brooks, with Jalen Mills moving to Brooks' nickel spot. But Ertz played the whole way and did postgame interviews after suffering what Pederson said was a “first rib displacement” under his left shoulder, in the first quarter.
