Eagles vs Giants: Game Preview And Prediction

The Eagles come into this game off of an impressive victory against the Saints, with both sides of the football looking solid. The defense has held their ground due to great play from safeties Malcolm Jenkins and Walter Thurmond, who are the 4th and 5th highest graded safeties per Pro Footbll Focus. Nelson Agholor, Mychal Kendricks, Kiko Alonso, and Brandon Bair are out for the game, while Ryan Mathews is questionable. The Giants come to Philadelphia with many lingering injuries. Starting cornerback Prince Amukamara is out for Monday's game, along with Devon Kennard and Victor Cruz. Pro Bowl Wide Receiver Odell Beckham JR is questionable with a hamstring injury, but the Eagles are preparing for him to play. It should be a shootout on Monday Night Football, in a game that could potentially put the Eagles on top of the NFC East.

Prediction: Eagles 31, Giants 23

Stat Leaders

Sam Bradford: 25/45 for 350 yards 2 touchdowns and 1 interception.

Expect Bradford to throw the ball against a struggling Giants' secondary, who are allowing the most passing yards per game in the NFL. He should continue to see success in throwing the ball deep, making the right reads on the defense.

Rashad Jennings: 18 rushes for 75 yards.

Although the Eagles have a very good run defense, it is hard to believe that one of the three featured backs in Philly will have great stats. It is more likely that all three will distribute the ball around, with all three backs having decent individual stats.

Josh Huff: 6 catches for 130 yards and 1 touchdown.

Huff should continue his success from last game with Nelson Agholor injured, having a caeer night on Monday. Bradford should find him open, especially on deep routes against the Giant's struggling secondary.
