Jimmy Butler is finally on the move. The Minnesota Timberwolves are trading the star to the Philadelphia 76ers, report Shams Charania and Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Timberwolves are sending Butler and Justin Patton to the 76ers. The 76ers are shipping Dario Saric, Jerryd Bayless, Robert Covington and a 2022 2nd round pick in exchange.
Butler requested a trade before the season. He finally has his wish. The 76ers and Butler plan to work out a long-term extension. Butler will form a Big 3 with Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.
