Over the past decade, the Philadelphia 76ers have had no shortage of star players — Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and Jimmy Butler, to name a few. Each has secured endorsement deals to varying degrees, but a common thread remains: none have truly established themselves with a signature sneaker line.
Embiid did release a signature shoe during his time with Under Armour, but it lasted just over a year. Even Paul George, who once had a signature line with Nike, currently finds himself without one.
That trend may finally be shifting. On Monday afternoon, New Balance debuted a new color pack featuring rising star Tyrese Maxey — signaling a potential step toward a more prominent sneaker presence for the Sixers.
