It took a few months, but Sevyn Streeter finally got the chance to sing the national anthem at Wells Fargo Center before a Sixers game.
Much like last time, Streeter walked out on the court in a jersey with the words "WE MATTER" on it. This time, the Sixers allowed the performer to wear it.
When Streeter took the mic to perform, Twitter reacted to the performer that was slighted in a decision the Sixers organization apologized for after opening night of the 2016-17 NBA season.
They let Sevyn Streeter sing the national anthem tonight with her we matter shirt on.
