The Philadelphia 76ers made the NBA finals in 1983 and 2001 and their benches stunk too

The lack of production from the Philadelphia 76ers bench has been a sore point for many fans and analysts all season. Coach Brett Brown has juggled his substitution pattern all year trying to cover up the weaknesses of the players who do not start.

General manager Elton Brand has also been busy attempting to plug the gaping holes on the roster (although despite five on the team he has never really gotten that backup center thing fixed) as the Sixers have cycled through 26 players this season, more than even Sam Hinkie ever went through.
