Sixers trade Jason Thompson to Warriors; get Gerald Wallace in return

Jason Thompson's tenure as the homegrown 76er lasted 22 days.

The Sixers traded the Camden native, who played at Lenape High School, to the Golden State Warriors Friday for Gerald Wallace and a 2016 NBA draft consideration. The Sixers have the right to swap the lesser of the first-round picks from the Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder with Golden State's first-rounder.

This transaction came after the Sixers officially acquired Thompson, Nik Stauskas and Carl Landry from the Sacramento Kings on July 10.

However, the franchise had stated that it planned to keep Thompson this season when he was acquired.
