SALT LAKE CITY – Gerald Henderson is coming home.
The 76ers reached a two-year, $18 million agreement with the former Episcopal Academy standout on Tuesday, according to a league source. Cleveland.com reported it first.
Henderson, an eight-year veteran, averaged 8.7 points this past season with the Portland Trail Blazers. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard spent his first seven seasons with the Charlotte Bobcats/Hornets.
Henderson was a McDonald’s All-American at Episcopal in 2006. He becomes a second-generation Sixer. His father, Gerald Henderson Sr., played for the team from 1987 to 1989.
