Shortly after Ben Simmons wrapped up a secret workout with the 76ers Tuesday morning, team president Bryan Colangelo made it clear his team was also looking to move up in Thursday's NBA draft, preferably in the top eight.
The Sixers are already expected to select Simmons, a point forward out of Louisiana State, with their No. 1 overall pick. But this was the first time than Colangelo was specific about his desired destination about moving up to pick another player.
"We are not going to make a bad deal in terms of overpaying for something in that range," Colangelo said.
