For the past half decade, the Philadelphia 76ers have been the butt of the injuries joke. While missing a combined five full seasons of Andrew Bynum, Nerlens Noel, Joel Embiid, and Ben Simmons is completely unfathomable for any fan to go through, it may have been the best thing that’s ever happened to this franchise. Hear me out:
Andrew Bynum’s Injury:
It’s hard to believe, but at one time, Bynum was supposed to be the answer to all of the Sixers’ mediocre problems. With teams like the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs looming over the league at that time (And the Golden State Warriors on the rise), I can confidently say that Bynum would’ve led us nowhere near a championship.
