Sixers lose to Celtics for eighth straight time

Turn back the calendar to the 2013-14 season and the Boston Celtics were the team the 76ers could count on defeating.

The Sixers won three of that campaign's four meetings with their Atlantic Division rivals. And they haven't beaten them since.

This time, the Celtics prevailed, 120-105, Sunday evening at Wells Fargo Center in their eighth straight series victory. The Sixers' last series win came on April 14, 2014, the second to last game of that season.

Both teams have undergone face-lifts since that victory. Hollis Thompson and Nerlens Noel are the only remaining Sixers from the squad that finished 19-63.
