The 76ers did everything but announced that Joel Embiid is out for Wednesday night’s game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Officially, the team is listed him as doubtful for the matchup at Wells Fargo Center.
“I would throw in very doubtful,” coach Brett Brown said during his pregame press conference.
The center suffered a sprained right hand in Sunday’s victory over the Phoenix Suns at Talking Stick Resort Arena. This is expected to the 10th game he’ll miss due various injuries and recovering time.
This injury occurred when he crashed hard to court with 3 minutes, 54 seconds remaining after colliding with Devin Booker near midcourt while leaping after the ball.
