Sixers' Embiid to play more vs. Wizards

WASHINGTON – The 76ers will let Joel Embiid play more, up to 15 minutes, in Thursday’s exhibition game against Washington at the Verizon Center, after he averaged around 12 minutes in the first four preseason games.

Shooting guard Gerald Henderson will see his minutes increased from 15 to 18. Meanwhile guard Nik Stauskas and Brandon Paul, who are both returning from injuries, will only play 12 minutes against the Wizards.

Stauskas missed the past three games with a left hamstring strain. Paul was sidelined two games with a stomach muscle (right oblique) bruise.

Sixers coach Brett Brown said Embiid and Stasukas will log all their minutes in the first half.
