West Virginia University’s best basketball player in the school’s history would be the logo himself, Jerry West. However, beyond West there hasn’t been too many WVU alumni that have made a major impact in the NBA. West, Rod Thorn and Fred Schaus are the only WVU players to average double-digits points in the NBA. One a similar note, West, Schaus and Hot Rod Hundley were the only WVU players selected to at least one NBA All-Star game.
Recent history hasn’t been kind to the perception of WVU players either.
