Sixers' Assistant Coach Monty Williams helps to cultivate a competitive edge

Philadelphia 76ers' Head Coach Brett Brown hosted his fourth annual free Coach the Coaches clinic at the Sixers' practice facility last night. Brown addressed the crowd expressing his upbringing as the son of two school teachers, and how he wants to give back to the community and the game of basketball through his coaching abilities.

Former assistant coach Lloyd Pierce left the organization to take the head coaching job for the Atlanta Hawks, leaving a vacancy on the bench. Brett Brown responded by hiring a former NBA player and head coach, Monty Williams.

Williams joins the Sixers after having worked in the San Antonio front office for the past 2 years.
