Sixers Assign Nerlens Noel To Delaware

The Undefeated’s Marc Spears is reporting that injured Philadelphia 76ers center Nerlens Noel has been sent to the Delaware 87ers on an injury rehab assignment.

From Spears:

Noel was scheduled to practice Wednesday with the Delaware 87ers, who are owned and operated by the Sixers, as part of his recovery from an October arthroscopic knee surgery.

Noel's stint with Delaware, sources said, is purely for rehab purposes and won't involve any game action, similar to what the Sixers did recently with veteran guard Jerryd Bayless.

The Sixers have three games in four days, which means no real time to practice, while the Sevens don’t have a game until Sunday.
