Sixers assign Bayless to Delaware 87ers

HOUSTON – The 76ers have assigned injured point guard Jerryd Bayless to the Delaware 87ers.

The assignment is part of Bayless’ rehabilitation program associated with his suffering left wrist damage in during training camp.

Last season, the Sixers assigned injured players Tony Wroten and Carl Landry to the Sevens to practice while the team was away.

Bayless has not played in a preseason or regular-season game for the Sixers.

Bayless signed three-year, $27 million deal with the 76ers in July.

Bayless is a solid acquisition, as he can play both guard positions. The 28-year-old averaged 10.
